Linda Cassidy

  • Linda Cassidy did her early training at Bard College with painter Elizabeth Murray before living and showing in the Hamptons for years, notably at the Elaine Benson Gallery, Guild Hall and Gallery North. She took an extended hiatus from her art to raise her daughter and pursue a career teaching art history. She now lives and practices art in an old farmhouse in the Hudson Valley while her two rescue chihuahuas look on in tolerant bemusement.

  • My art speaks to the world that lies just behind the veil of consensual reality. There are entire universes there, and my task as an artist is to discover the hidden flames of those worlds, breathe them into life, and bring that living energy into materiality.
